If your transfer is arranged, a representative typically meets you at the meeting point just outside arrivals. Build in time for immigration, baggage collection, and any SIM card or currency stops before heading to the jetty; don’t assume you can board a speedboat within minutes of landing.
For most shared Malé-based departures, the jetty is Jetty 1, opposite the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) in central Malé. If your speedboat departs directly from the airport island jetty instead, this will be confirmed at booking; both patterns exist depending on operator. Your operator will confirm the boat name, contact number, and reporting time in advance; have these details ready on arrival.
