People often search for “Gulhi resorts,” so it is worth being clear: Gulhi is an inhabited local island with guesthouses and small beach hotels, not private island resorts. There are no overwater villas, no all-inclusive resort packages, and no resort bars on the island, alcohol is not sold publicly here. What you get instead is a real Maldivian island at a fraction of resort prices, with the same turquoise water and white sand.
If resort facilities matter to you, the usual approach is to pair a Gulhi stay with a nearby resort for a night or two, or take a resort day visit, a day pass for a pool, a beach, lunch, and a drink, then return to your guesthouse. The “premium” option on Gulhi itself is the 4-star beach hotel with a pool and spa, which is the closest thing to resort comfort on the island.
