Thoddoo is one of the largest and most unique local islands in the Maldives. Located 67km west of Malé in North Ari Atoll, the island has a population of around 1,800 residents and spans approximately 1.6km by 1.2km. Unlike other Maldivian islands dependent solely on fishing and tourism, Thoddoo is the country's agricultural powerhouse, producing over 500 tons of watermelons annually along with papayas, bananas, and vegetables.
Thoddoo has two designated bikini beaches where tourists can sunbathe freely.
